What's in a name?

One question we are often asked is "where did you come up with your name?".
We spent a lot of time trying to decide what to call our natural soap. Some of
names were pretty good but most were pretty bad! Some were even taken!
Our name had to reflect the nature of our soap (pun intended) and it really
needed to describe the attitude of our handmade natural soap company.
"Tylor's Handmade Natural Soap" sounded really good to me but since Jeri
does most of the work it didn't seem fair, plus it doesn't really tell you about our
friendly attitude.
Jeri wanted to call it something like "Friendly Jeri's Natural Soap Company"
and Gwynedd wanted to call it "Gwynedd's Handmade Soap & Stuff".
Although all of these names sounded good (especially "Tylor's Handmade
Natural Soap"), they didn't give you, our awesome customers a clear picture of
us and our soap.
The name of this company had to describe our soap. The soap we make is
natural. The ingredients we use come from Mother Nature's garden, the Earth.
We wanted to be a friendly soap company, not just a faceless corporation like
the big guys. We wanted to make people happy and clean with natural
ingredients. Using natural soap is a good thing and we wanted to share our
soap with as many people as possible by making it affordable.
Lower prices always bring out the good nature in people. Natural products
make the Earth happy. Supporting small, friendly, family owned businesses
make most people happy.
If we were going to be a friendly and natural soap company, there was really
only one choice...
